Improving the EBU

With the recent take over, new leadership structure and merges of new organisations. The EBU has announced changes. Here they are.

. All boxers must have yearly medicals, regardless of age.

. Any boxer that is knocked out must have a brain scan within 48 hours.

. 100 new signings.

. Champions must attend 2 shows of their choice, and 3 shows decided by the EBU. Previously it was 4 shows.

. Champions must visit 4 gyms a year, free of charge, to deliver talks or demos.

. Ringside seat price is to increase, all other seats will decrease or remain the same.

. Champions must defend their belts. 18 months of inactivity will result is belt being stripped.

. Boxers are now free to take part in charity fights without permission, unless they are title holders.

. All boxers over the age of 28 must have weekly medicals during training.

. Minimum of 1 year ban for any illegal or performance enhancing drugs.

. Testing positive for steroids 3 times will result in a lifetime ban.

. heavyweights can no longer pick their glove weight. 14 ounce minimum.
