Veteran Referee, Jeff Foreman has announced his retirement. At 68 years old, and with health concerns, Jeff has worked less and less shows over the last 6 months.
He joined the EBU in 1994. His first Championship job came in 1996 when Aaron Dobbs lost his title to Ben Pressfield. He has since refereed for 562 fights, 184 title fights.
The EBU has changed hands multiple times, and merged with other organisations, But Jeff Foreman kept his job due to his fairness and popularity. Her took no nonsense but always tried to let fights flow by making his presence felt only when needed.
I wish Jeff a happy retirement and hope and his health returns.
