With the retirement of DelBrey, EBU supporters will naturally look for a replacement number one.
The EBU isn’t short of talent, that’s for sure. And the organisations champions would all dream of having a career to rival DelBrey’s.
most fans feel that the number one spot is between Meers and Havey. Havey beat DelBrey but has since lost. Meers is unbeaten and thats the reason he was named P4P number 1 by the EBU.
Following DelBreys retirement, Meers said “I have a tremendous amount of respect for DelBrey. He had a fantastic career. He set the bar very high, but I will reach, and then surpass it. I will break every record he set and retire and the best ever.”
Bold words. I look forward to seeing the young Cruiserweight champion progress towards DelBrey;s records.
